Current talk and teaching programmers: Highlight "Turning Point" 8/12/08

Dr. David Jeremiah, founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries and senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church, felt God's calling on his life at a very early age.

Dr. Jeremiah heeded God's moving, and in 1981 he and his family moved to California where he became the senior pastor of the Scott Memorial Baptist Church, now the Shadow Mountain Community Church.

Shadow Mountain Community Church is one of the largest churches in San Diego County. It is also the home of San Diego Christian College and Christian Unified Schools which now has three campuses in San Diego County. As Dr. Jeremiah began his ministry at Shadow Mountain, he felt God's calling to continue the broadcast ministry he started in Fort Wayne. In 1982, Turning Point Ministries became a reality.

Today, the Turning Point 30 minute radio program is heard nationally and internationally on over 1800 stations and translator/satellators. In recognition of Dr. Jeremiah's commitment to teaching the Word of God, he received the Broadcaster of the Year Award in 1999 from the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) and in August 2002, received the Award of Merit from the Western Chapter of National Religious Broadcasters for Excellence in Broadcasting and Faithfulness in Service.

Along with his speaking schedule around the country, Dr. Jeremiah also finds time to fulfill another passion in his life, writing. His books are always gripping and right to the point. Look at his website at www.davidjeremiah.org for information on some of his books.

A dedicated family man, Dr. Jeremiah believes that without the support and encouragement of his wife, Donna, Turning Point would have never been brought into existence. He and Donna have 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren.

Dr. Jeremiah's commitment is to teaching the whole Word of God. His passion for people and his desire to reach the lost are evident in the way he communicates Bible truths and his ability to get right to the important issues. Dr. Jeremiah continues to be excited to see what God is going to do in broadcast ministry around the world through the ministries of Turning Point.

You can hear Dr. Jeremiah on Freedom Radio, Monday thru Friday at 8:00 AM (EST) and on Sunday at 8:00 AM (EST).

Ministry Opportunities: 7/7/2008

Edgewater Broadcasting (Freedom Radio FM) appreciates the calls and letters we receive from you, our listeners. Many have asked how you can help. First we ask that you pray God will continue to use this ministry to spread the Good News. Also, your financial support to the ministry helps to support us and the projects that we are working on. One such project is the Grand Island, NE full power build. We have a construction permit that will expire May 8, 2009. It is a 1200 watt station serving the Grand Island, NE area. This station will also be used to feed a nearby FM translator in Hastings, NE.  We have many more projects in the works and your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

We have made it easy for you to support us by using the Pay Pal link on this page.

Thank you again for your prayers and support. May the Lord bless you!

We are very proud to announce that Freedom Radio can be heard in new areas of the country.

Morehead, KY is on the air. You can tune into 91.7 FM to hear our signal "Freedom Radio FM". Morehead is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the Daniel Boone National Forest and just a short drive from beautiful Cave Run Lake. One of the upcoming events in Morehead is The Poppy Mountain Bluegrass Festival which begins September 1st and lasts for twenty fun-filled days.

Lewistown, MT you can now dial in at 90.3 FM for your "Freedom Radio" fix. Lewistown is an agricultural community located at the geographic center of Montana in the vast Judith Basin. The town features many well-preserved historic businesses and homes. Although mostly rolling prairie, farms and ranches, the Lewistown area features five beautiful mountain ranges, the Snowies, the Judiths, the Moccasins, the Belts, and the Highwoods from which grand 100-mile vistas stretch out below. Picturesque landscapes, mountain terrain, and small quiet towns typify the area. Lewistown is a town in that most people who visit Montana never see. Lying out in the middle of Central Montana, Lewistown is quite the distance from all the major tourist destinations in the state. And this is too bad, since Lewistown is a surprisingly nice town. The downtown is clean and historic, the streets are tree-lined and the location of Lewistown is excellent for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities.

Bowling Green, KY can now listen in at 88.5 FM. Bowling Green is a major hub of South Central Kentucky. It is currently the fourth-largest city in Kentucky. Recently recognized as one of America's Dozen Distinctive Destinations, Bowling Green is firmly rooted in its historic past. Where else can you go spelunking, witness an American icon in the works, and go for a twisted ride in the air all in one weekend? Legendary cars, wooden roller coasters and underground boat tours drive Bowling Green's ability to entertain and educate visitors, students and residents alike. Less than one hour north of Nashville, TN, off I-65, Bowling Green rolls out a red carpet experience for anyone in search of an opportunity to sample the Southern hospitality of a unique town on the move.

Albany, GA can now tune in at 94.3 FM. Albany offers the perfect exposure to a deeply Southern experience through its ideal location in Southwest Georgia. Enjoy the thrilling sports of a quail hunt on one of our gorgeous Southern Plantations or a night of arena football. Explore the swamps, forests and animal zoo or travel to the depths of underwater springs without getting wet! You could just spend some time relaxing and appreciating the cultural attractions, unique shopping and dining opportunities. The centerpiece of the Albany Downtown Riverfront Master Plan is the Flint River Center, a hybrid educational facility that is part aquarium, part children's museum, part natural history museum, part botanical garden and part science museum. It was designed by internationally known architect Antoine Predock.
